I am a native Oregonian and Licensed Psychologist (OR Lic. #2536) with a focus in helping teens and adults with ADHD, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and adjustment to life changes. My practical and flexible approach, called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) combines components of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a powerful type of present-moment awareness called mindfulness. ACT therapy skills help us better understand our core values, break free of unhelpful patterns, and maintain commitment to meaningful activities and relationships. In addition to the use of evidence-based treatment approaches, I recognize the importance of the therapeutic alliance as the foundation of successful treatment. I usually establish a sense of trust and openness with my clients very quickly, and work with a number of short-term as well as long-term and returning clients. I particularly enjoy working with young adults, and spent several years providing mental health services in university health clinics at Reed College, Linfield College School of Nursing, and Rowan University.
